Fall is upon us… and so are flu clinics. If you get a flu shot every year, you're watching out for your physical health. What a great time to also check in on your mental health!
During October, free screenings are available to help you (or someone you're concerned about) assess whether you may be experiencing symptoms of a mental health or substance misuse disorder and could benefit from treatment. You can take an online screen now, in English or Spanish, or do it in-person at one of our Wellness tables this month. (Details here; download event list here to print on legal size paper.)
At the Wellness tables, you'll also be able to pick up wellness and self-care tips, learn about available resources and supports, and talk directly with a clinician for free, thanks to our many community partners.
Our online screening tools cover:
-
anxiety
-
depression
-
brief screen for adolescent depression
-
bipolar disorder
-
PTSD
-
eating disorders
-
alcohol use disorder
-
substance use disorder
-
psychosis (2 options: one screener for the individual and one for a concerned loved one).
If you or someone you know is looking for treatment or a support group, find local resources here. (Scroll down the Resource page to find links to other state and national databases.)
