We hope to end this decade on a positive note & to fulfill our 2020 vision:

The Hub's 2020 Vision for Southwest CT

  • Suicide & overdose rates will decrease in the region

  • Youth, young adults & families will become more aware of the risks of vaping and marijuana (as well as other substances and addictive behaviors such as gambling)

  • Peer support resources will expand in the region to enhance wellness and recovery

  • All of us will work for better balance in our lives, reducing stress, improving social connectedness, and practicing mindfulness at home, school and work

We pledge to support this vision by:

  • Regionalizing suicide response strategies

  • Sharing prevention resources across communities

  • Building regional capacity to address risky behaviors through education, screening, and environmental changes

  • Providing regional data and strategy development to address treatment needs and gaps

  • Increasing consumer advocacy to expand peer support in the region

  • Supporting wellness initiatives

  • Advocating for change and improved connections to care
