Catalyst CT tackles systemic issues by grounding our advocacy in data. As the RBHAO for Southwestern Connecticut, the Hub is tasked by Connecticut’s Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) with conducting a regional needs assessment every two years to capture local and regional needs and trends. Based on this assessment, the Regional Priority Report is produced.
This report, last published in June 2023, contains 10 epidemiological profiles on substance use and mental health topics. It is a data-driven analysis that includes community perspectives about the size, impact, and capacity of behavioral health resources within our region. We then provide priority recommendations for prevention, treatment, and recovery services at the regional and state levels.
